How to Release Print Jobs on Copiers
Step-by-step guide on how to release print jobs through PaperCut
1. To begin choose one of two options - punch in your ID number or swipe your badge
2. On the main screen choose the function desired - Print release for print jobs sent to the copier, Copy, or Scan. (**Note: due to security features, scanned documents can only be scanned to yourself and then forwarded to the intended recipient**)
a. PRINT RELEASE - To release print job(s) click the “Print release” icon. You should see a list of your print jobs on the screen.
b. Select any/all job by tapping the box which should fill with a check mark. **Note: you do not need to select all jobs for print if you wish to print to a different copier. For example you are in Alfond and need a document right away but plan to go to Davis after class and need to print a test. Keep in mind your jobs only stay in the queue for four hours.
c. Once the job is released you should see (X) jobs released successfully
d. COPY - tap the Copy icon
e. Select options for copying as usual
f. SCAN TO EMAIL - select Scan
g. Select Scan to My Email
h. The screen will default to this page. You can change the filename or leave it as the default. Push the icon labeled “start” (blue or green buttons do the same thing).
3. Be sure to log out when you are finished. **Note: you will automatically be logged out after one minute.
